Agribusiness Management, Associate in Science (A.S.)

• Have a high school diploma or GED certificate
• Submit application to FGC
• Take a placement exam as prescribed by State Board of Education Rule (Not required for certificate students).

1. Demonstrate an understanding of plant physiology and growth.
2. Identify and classify plants.
3. Plan and maintain landscape 灌溉 systems.
4. Identify pests and demonstrate solutions to pest problems while minimizing risks to people and the environment.
5. Analyze and organize horticulture projects.
6. Relate the physical and chemical properties of soil and water sources to plant growth, 灌溉, and fertilization.
7. Prepare and administer a business-oriented plan.
8. Develop leadership skills.
9. Identify, classify, and demonstrate management activities.
10. Demonstrate a basic understanding of legal and ethical issues in a business environment.

This is an excellent program for those who already work or aspire to work in any agriculture industry.  These industries include plant and tree nurseries, 农业, golf course management, 草坪护理, 和园艺. 

Florida Gateway’s online Associate of Science in Agribusiness Management provides an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates studies in horticultural sciences, such as landscape plants and turf, with all aspects of business management.  You can apply the knowledge from these courses to the problems that are presented to agribusinesses now and in the future.
